Officers can simply press the button on the side of the device, the body camera icon on the start screen, or the Launch Body Cam option on the LCS home page.
Officers do not have to be logged in to launch the camera, and it will start recording within a few seconds.
Officers can wear the device in a magnetic holster that securely affixes to any type of uniform. These body cam holsters are sold separately.
Once recording is stopped, the device will prompt the officer to identify themselves with their unique pin number and enter a short description of why the body camera was activated, with the option to complete an incident report.
All reports are uploaded with the video to the Administrative website.
